Stephen is a Partner at Wayman and Long and serves as the firm's chief accountant. Stephen joined Wayman and Long over ten years ago, bringing with him extensive experience from his previous roles in prestigious international auction houses, in both London and the South East.
Motivated by the rewarding nature of his work, Stephen enjoys being part of a close-knit, friendly team who are dedicated to helping people resolve their legal issues. He finds great satisfaction in contributing to the firm's mission and making a positive impact on clients' lives.
Phil is a Partner at Wayman and Long and serves as the firm's Compliance Officer for Legal Practice. With a decade-long tenure at Wayman and Long, Phil oversees the private client and residential conveyancing departments, ensuring the highest standards of legal service.
Phil entered the legal sector in 2007, initially working for a large firm in the Midlands before joining Wayman and Long. Throughout his career, a commitment to honesty and a passion for the law have been the driving forces, complemented by a diverse skill set in private client and property matters.
Nigel is a fully qualified barrister who specialises in all areas of disputes and litigation; with a keen interest in farming legalities. Nigel joined the firm in 2016 and has been a vital part of the legal team ever since.
With over 20 years of experience as a barrister, Nigel has worked all over the country, using his expertise and specialist knowledge to assist clients in achieving their desired outcomes. He is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of the individuals he represents.
Bradley is a solicitor with the firm, working primarily in conveyancing, civil litigation, wills, and divorce and family law. He joined the firm in January 2022 and has since been a dedicated member of the legal team.
Bradley studied Law from 2016 to 2019 at the University of Law, obtaining a 2:1 degree. He then went on to earn a master's at the same institution, where he also obtained a commendation. He is motivated by the opportunity to help people understand and apply the law, as well as by his continuous pursuit of enhancing his legal knowledge.
Lynn joined Wayman and Long in January 2022, bringing with her a wealth of experience in customer service, sales, and accounts from both large corporations and local councils.
In her role as Front Office Manager, Lynn holds the responsibility of ensuring that Wayman and Long maintains a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. She handles all incoming queries via email, telephone, and walk-ins, ensuring that each client is treated with care and respect.
Lynn enjoys the diversity of each day's tasks and the opportunity to contribute to the positive image of the firm.
Sophie is a legal secretary who joined the firm in October 2022. She specialises in conveyancing, and in particular, assisting with property purchases.
Before transitioning to the legal sector, Sophie was a professional nail technician and successfully ran her own nail business. The skills and experience gained during her entrepreneurial journey have proven invaluable in her current role.
Sophie is passionate about building relationships with clients, and enjoys expanding her knowledge of the legal sector.
Matthew is currently working in the conveyancing department at Wayman and Long and is set to begin his Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship in the autumn. Having joined the firm in March 2023, he brings his enthusiasm for learning and a strong educational background to his role, including a 2:1 degree in Criminology.
He is motivated by the opportunity to expand his knowledge and skills within the legal industry. With his dedication to learning and his commitment to professional growth, Matthew has already made a great contribution to the team.
Emily is a Trainee Solicitor currently undertaking a degree apprenticeship. This six-year course allows Emily to work towards her law degree, whilst gaining practical experience in the legal field.
Emily discovered her passion for the legal industry following her A-Levels, and joined the firm in June 2023. She is driven by the opportunity to help people with their legal concerns and provide assistance during times of need.
Verity is a trainee solicitor at the firm, focussing primarily in family law, property purchases, and wills. She joined the firm in March 2023 and has since specialised in supporting clients with divorce as well as child and family matters.
Following her undergraduate law degree, Verity went on to complete her master's in law and LPC. Prior to joining the firm, Verity gained experience in a prominent law firm as well as a law clinic, where she provided free advice on family law.
Verity's motivation stems from her passion for helping people navigate complex family issues and assisting individuals in unhappy marital situations. She finds fulfilment in learning new things, gaining experience, and ultimately helping clients achieve their objectives.
Millie joined the team in 2017. Her main task is to accept daily pats, as well as providing the ‘top tips’ section of our newsletter.
