Stephen Whiskin
Partner
Steven joined the firm in early 2014 before becoming a partner of the firm later that year. Steve has an extensive experience and knowledge of accountancy. Since becoming a partner in 2019, he has used his skillset in business and marketing to help grow the firm and improve client experience.
Steve's work has led the Wayman & Long team into gaining a reputation for being the most friendly firm in the area and providing great client experience.
Phillip Povey
Partner
Phil joined the firm in 2014 after working for law firm blue chip companies in Litigation and worked in a number of different areas. Phil became a partner of the firm in 2019 where he uses his expertise to help assist a number of different private clients whilst also provided specialist skills in dealing with probate.
Phil's reputation has led to numerous long term clients as he continues to be known for his strong expertise combined with his ability to put clients at ease, making him the perfect person to assist clients through what they require.
Nigel Gowling
Barrister
Nigel joined the firm in 2016. Nigel is a fully qualified barrister at law. Since joining the firm Nigel has used his specialist skillset to assist clients in a wide variety of areas, specialising in agricultural cases, litigation and general practices.
Nigel is known for his ability to use his wealth of knowledge to deliver the best outcomes for his clients.
William Brown
Solicitor
William joined the firm in 2019. He graduated from University of Essex where he developed his knowledge across all areas of law.
Will is known for his ability to develop great relationships with clients to ensure they have the best experience possible.
Bradley Giles
Trainee Solicitor
Bradley joined the firm in 2022 after relocating from Birmingham. Bradley is a trainee solicitor after studying at the University of Law in Birmingham where he achieved a first class honours degree.
Bradley has helped assist with litigation, family law and conveyancing since joining the firm. Bradley has quickly developed a reputation amongst clients for his positive attitude towards helping them.
Lynn Exley
Administrative Assistant
Lynn joined the firm in 2022 after being a pillar of the local community for a number of years. Lynn has worked for numerous parish councils across the local area and since joining as a receptionist for the firm, she has used her vast experience of accounting at Estec digital limited to assist our team.
Being the first person people speak to at the firm, Lynn is known for looking after clients with a caring attitude.
Julye Magson
Conveyencing Executive
Julye joined the firm in 2003 and has been a huge part ofthe Wayman & Long team ever since. Julye is our conveyancing executive who specialises in property law with both freehold & leasehold properties, property registration, mortgages and much more.
Julye has assisted a great amount of clients through their property needs throughout the years and is known for her friendly attitude combined with expertise in property, ensuring that everyone has the best experience possible.
Ann Turnbull
Probate Executive
Ann joined the firm in 2001 and has helped the firm grow over the years. Ann is a probate executive with a wealth of experience. Ann specialises in private client work and over the years has gained a reputation for being one of the most knowledgeable around.
Ann is known for ensuring the process is as smooth as possible for her clients and being on hand to help them every step of the way.
Carolyn Armstrong
Legal Assistant
Carolyn joined the firm in 2003 and works as a personal assistant to Phillip Povey. Carolyn uses her wealth of experience to assist clients throughout their time as a client at Wayman & Long. Carolyn has developed a reputation for her sensitivity around matters and being on hand to support clients at all times.
Carolyn plays a key role in helping the firm run effectively whilst being a favourite for clients of the firm to speak to.
Jack Berkeley
Sales & Marketing
Jack Berkeley joined the firm in December 2021 and has been focused on developing the companies profile. Jack has worked closely with Stephen Whiskin to improve client experience and brand awareness which has included new marketing stratergies, a new website to enhance client experience and putting together new community campaigns in the local area.
Jack takes pride in assisting clients and working to enhance Wayman & Long's reputation as the number one law firm in the area.
Sophie Exley
Legal Assistant
Sophie Joined the firm in 2022 after previously running her own successful beauty business before changing due to a passion she discovered working in the legal industry.
Since joining the firm, Sophie has used her excellent customer service skills in order to build strong relationships with clients - whilst assisting the wider team across a variety of legal matters.
